Does the notion of "self-care" just sound too self-indulgent to you? It still makes me immediately wish I had spa day booked in while the kiddo's at nurser... But that's not all it's about.  

My own mum (who's a psychotherapist) introduced me to a more profound form of self-care where the feel-good benefits last longer than your average bubble bath. I'm talking about meditation and mindfulness.

It transformed my pregnancy experience. You can use it to lift yourself out of emotional dips, reduce and protect yourself from stress too but most unbelievably (seriously, I didn't believe it till it clicked one day) it enables you to connect with your baby in the most beautiful and intimate way.
